Unlimited Power!

Power Quote for the Week

Welcome to Sunday's semi-regular feature. This week's witty, wise, or profound quotation concerns wisdom as referred to the use of power.

I choose these quotations about power as it refers to electricity, since that is what this blog is about. Sometimes though, I'll select a quotation about power, as it relates to the human condition.

Ashleigh Ellwood Brilliant (born 9 December 1933 in London, UK) is an author and syndicated cartoonist living in Santa Barbara, California, USA. He said, "All I want is a warm bed and a kind word and unlimited power."

Bringing Meaning To Madness

Don't we minimal cost!Isn't it amazing that those three wants are probably the same wants of all of us, especially at the end of a long day. The last one, unlimited power, could be personal or electricity. Regarding electricity, our dependence has become one of "taking it for granted" and "anger" when it is disrupted. And, our utilities are our fiduciaries who are there to not only provide that unlimited power, but to do it at the most efficient price. If they are allowed to make a profit, where does that conflict with their fiduciary responsibility? Maybe we should inquire with the local Public Utility Commission (PUC)!

"If it weren't for electricity, we'd all be watching television by candlelight." ~ George Gobel
