Power Quote for the Week
Welcome to Sunday's semi-regular feature. This week's witty, wise, or profound quotation concerns wisdom as referred to the use of power.
I choose these quotations about power as it refers to electricity, since that is what this blog is about. Sometimes though, I'll select a quotation about power, as it relates to the human condition.
Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi (2 October 1869 – 30 January 1948) was the pre-eminent political and ideological leader of India during the Indian independence movement. He said, “Power is of two kinds. One is obtained by the fear of punishment and the other by acts of love. Power based on love is a thousand times more effective and permanent then the one derived from fear of punishment.
Bringing Meaning To Madness
Let's all hope that the power inside each of us is based on love and not fear of punishment. Without compassion and love for our fellow mankind, we are all doomed.
Can I help you find something?
